The Job:

This position entails managing the procurement process for materials and subcontracts related to offshore works.

Duties:

  1. We communicate with vendors to obtain quotations based on purchasing requests.
  2. We provide support to vendors during technical/commercial proposal preparation while maintaining confidentiality.
  3. We develop commercial/economic bid tabulations to analyze proposals and suggest improvements.
  4. We conduct commercial/economic negotiations with vendors.
  5. We create purchase orders/subcontracts in accordance with company standards.
  6. We conclude the bid process by confirming vendor selection and informing unsuccessful bidders.
  7. We negotiate revisions to purchase orders/subcontracts as required.
  8. We ensure compliance with procedures and systems throughout all activities.
  9. We examine and comment on technical documentation received with Purchase Requisitions and Technical Evaluations.
  10. We manage contractual documentation before issuing it to the centralized archive.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Thorough knowledge of O&G industry manufacturers and suppliers.
  2. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  3. Proven track record in bid preparation, negotiation, and price checking.
  4. Experience with ARIBA or SAP.
  5. Expertise in identifying trustworthy suppliers of commodities like valves, piping, and structural steel.
