Job Summary:

CEG INTERNATIONAL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Unix Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our Unix systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Unix systems, including patching, documentation, and logging.
  • Analyze Rapid7 vulnerability reports and work through Sys-test and UAT on vulnerability remediation.
  • Resolve complex software/hardware matters related to networking connectivity issues, printers, servers, and applications.
  • Coordinate hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed according to company policy.
  • Recommend and implement resolutions to complex matters, and coordinate the implementation of approved courses of action.
  • Monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems, and document system events to ensure continuous functioning.
  • Oversee the installation of client department-specific applications and systems, ensuring installations are according to appropriate operating procedures.
  • Coordinate testing, upgrades, and configuration of system files and services, ensuring changes are according to appropriate operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience as a Linux/Unix Systems Admin.
  • Experience with Oracle Solaris, Unix operating system, and writing/modifying shell scripts.
  • Red Hat (6, 7, 8) and Web Logic certifications preferred.
