Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our digital transformation efforts at QatarEnergy. As the Head of Digital Technology, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our digital strategy, leading a team of experts, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with QatarEnergy's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development of a digital delivery team and establish governance processes to manage the digital function.
  • Identify and prioritize digital use cases, and develop a roadmap for implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal sponsors to identify and prioritize digital initiatives.
  • Develop and implement data analytics, AI, and ML solutions to optimize exploration, production, and drilling operations.
  • Monitor digital trends and promote innovation within QatarEnergy.
  • Support business analytics and digital literacy programs, and employ change management best practices.
  • Accountable for financial management of the digital function, including budgeting and spend oversight.
  • Set digital performance goals and oversee KPIs, optimizing and prioritizing the backlog of products.
Requirements
  • 15 years of experience in the energy sector, with a minimum of 6 years in the digital space.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field, with advanced degrees in oil and gas or energy management highly desirable.
