Job Description

">
  • Lead the Mechanical Department in the execution of ship repair projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and budgetary targets.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, overseeing labour, OPEX, and CAPEX expenditures.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Clients, and Classification Societies to resolve project issues and ensure alignment across all functions.
  • Implement systems and procedures to track and monitor productivity metrics, driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of raw materials, equipment organisation, people resources, and administrative processes to ensure efficiency and cost control.
  • Review project scopes, establish production objectives, and create production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all shipyard projects.
  • Authorise the purchase of equipment, spares, and materials as necessary, ensuring all procurement aligns with project requirements and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management policies, prioritising employee safety and legislative compliance.
