Job Title: Assistant Professor in Physical Geography

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor in Physical Geography to join our faculty at Qatar University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of Physical Geography courses, supervising students at Physical Geography labs, and contributing to the development of new Physical Geography courses and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a range of Physical Geography courses, including geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, and biogeography
• Supervise students at Physical Geography labs and assist with course instruction as assigned by the Department Head
• Contribute to the development of new Physical Geography courses and programs, and assist with departmental tasks as assigned
• Monitor the academic performance of undergraduate students and provide guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

• PhD degree in Physical Geography from an internationally recognized university
• Experience in teaching a wide range of courses in Physical Geography and related disciplines
• Competency and involvement in research, with a strong publication record
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages
