Golang System Software Engineer

This is a remote position available in EMEA and the Americas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and document system level Go code to enhance software performance and scalability.
  • Model data, design database schema and implement data storage in a dqlite (SQL) database to ensure efficient data management.
  • Maintain code quality through static analysis, unit and system tests to guarantee reliability and stability.
  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions to complex problems.
  • Work from home with global travel 2 to 4 weeks/year for internal and external events to foster teamwork and innovation.
About You
  • You have experience programming in Go and C, with a strong foundation in software development principles.
  • You are knowledgeable in networking and storage technologies, with a focus on cloud computing, virtualisation, containers, distributed systems, and open source community.
  • You have experience with two or more of these technologies and are eager to apply your skills in a dynamic environment.
  • You are curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • You value soft skills and are enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated, with a passion for learning and growth.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field, with a solid understanding of computer systems and software development.
