Regency Fleets Editor

The Regency Fleets seek an experienced Editorial Director to oversee the editorial process of our publications from inception to production.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all publications meet the highest standards of quality and align with our vision and mission. It will oversee all stages of editing, including structural / developmental, line, and copyediting; manage the editorial calendar and all review processes; manage the process of translation; develop and maintain a style guide and review all content for accuracy, clarity, style, and tone; collaborate with other staff on publication layout, design, printing, dissemination, and promotion.

This position requires strong proficiency in all stages of editing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a hard-working, small-team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to set priorities, organize workflow, work independently on assigned projects, and collaborate with diverse populations.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in publishing, communications, journalism, area studies, language and literature, or other relevant fields, and at least 5 years of experience in an editing or publishing role, preferably within an academic or research setting.
