Job Description

We are looking for a Production Support Engineer (Java/ Banking applications) to join our team. As a key member of our WMI Core Technology division, you will be responsible for developing, supporting and improving the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees.

Your Role:

  1. Develop, support and improve digital products: You will work on developing, supporting and improving our digital products and technology services.
  2. Apply software engineering practices: You will apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment.
  3. Ensure quality, security, reliability and compliance: You will ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
  4. Build observability into solutions: You will build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
  5. Understand client needs: You will understand, represent and advocate for client needs.
  6. Share knowledge and expertise: You will share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities.

About Your Team

You will be working in the WMI Core team in Qatar focusing on WMI Core Technology Division managing Core Banking platform.

TEMENOS T24 is the core banking system that is extensively used by Wealth Management business users to perform critical business functions.

TEMENOS PAYMENT HUB is the core banking system that is extensively used by Wealth Management business users to perform client-related payment functions.

We define the domain architecture strategy and solution engineering standards for Core Banking Platform within WMI Core Technology division and are responsible for developing, maintaining, and strategically transforming the application portfolio in close collaboration with our business sponsors supporting Private Banking (Wealth Management) division.

This role will be a part of WMI Core Technology division within the bank. The varied Technology landscape spans in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React JS, core banking products such as T24, TPH, and related technologies.
