Job Title: Transportation Design Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Transportation Design Manager to lead our team in the development of transportation infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design services required for our multi-billion infrastructure project in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the delivery of transportation design services, ensuring consistency with design criteria and required standards.
  2. Manage the scope development and tendering process for design consultants and third-party reviewers.
  3. Participate in Value Engineering (VE) studies and manage constructability workshops to drive on-schedule submittal of design deliverables.
  4. Keep the Project Management Team informed of changes made in the field to ensure timely processing of contract change orders.
  5. Maintain overall knowledge of drawings, specifications, general contracts, and time schedules.
  6. Manage responses to design RFIs and review/comment on change orders.
  7. Ensure all transportation design works are comprehensive and discussed with engineers for best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and contractors.
  8. Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies in public meetings to support the client.
  9. Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for project elements, ensuring project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
  10. Provide necessary technical support and design review/audit services to the Project Management Team, ensuring correctness and quality of implementation of requirements.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with 15 years of experience in a key management role in transportation-related design and/or construction. Experience in the construction of large industrial or infrastructural projects with demonstrated experience in designing bridges, highways, expressways, and/or intersections is essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability to perform a management role are required. A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree and Professional Engineer registration are also required.
