Safety Officer Job Description

Tanqeeb is seeking a highly qualified Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in Qatar. They will also have a strong background in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector, with a professional degree or diploma.

The key qualifications for this role include:

  1. Professional Certifications: NEBOSH IGC and IOSH certifications are required.
  2. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in Qatar.
  3. Education: A professional degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting Risk Assessments: Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the workplace.
  2. Developing Safety Procedures: Creating and implementing safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  3. Providing Training: Providing training to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  4. Monitoring Compliance: Ensuring that all employees and stakeholders are complying with safety regulations and procedures.
