University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is a leading institution in Qatar offering various degrees and certifications. Our mission is to deliver top-notch applied and experiential learning experiences.

The Applied and Experiential Learning Unit invites applications for the position of Experiential Learning and Certification Specialist. The successful candidate will report to the Academic Manager, Applied and Experiential Learning.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert advice to faculty on instructional delivery by conducting group workshops and individual mentoring.
  2. Develop best practices in teaching and experiential learning to enhance faculty's performance.
  3. Design, coordinate and conduct professional growth activities such as Instructional Skills Workshops and Development Workshops to support faculty in developing effective teaching approaches.
  4. Collaborate with Faculty Affairs and Colleges to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality orientation training for new faculty.
  5. Ensure the delivery of internationally recognized teacher training programs to instructors from all academic business units at UDST.
  6. Coordinate on-site credit bearing courses including logistical arrangements and facilitators.
  7. Support faculty with online training courses providing practical advice and a supportive environment.
  8. Liaise with Colleges to identify suitable faculty for teacher training programs based on their needs.
  9. Maintain records of professional development workshops and develop self-access instructional support resources.
QualificationsEducation and Certifications:

A Master's degree is required.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years in education. Teaching and Education Certifications are preferred.

Language:

Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Bilingual in English and Arabic is desirable.

Other Required Skills:

A highly detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in professional development and conducting training sessions is necessary. A proactive attitude and good time management are essential. Ability to anticipate change and manage quality and risk effectively. Knowledge of Pedagogy, Curriculum Planning and Teaching Technologies is required. Effective working relationships across all levels of the organization are crucial. Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is advantageous.
