Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join our team at Power International Holding Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the coordination of the implementation of and compliance to the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and Project HSE Management Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange, conduct, and participate in training sessions, HSE Committee and Coordination Meetings.
  • Advise the Project Manager/Director and other Supervisory Staff with regards to accident prevention and improvement related to work methods.
  • Lead and supervise HSE officers onsite, often acting as deputy HSE manager.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage the execution of HSE activities on a project as per the HSE plan and IMS requirements.
  • Conduct monthly HSE inspections for project sites and record findings to design relevant improvement action plans.
  • Plan and implement HSE audits for sub-contractors on a quarterly basis.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare the HSE monthly monitoring program and ensure its implementation.
  • Review and monitor timely reporting of project HSE performance and ensure achievement of HSE goals.
  • Record and analyze HSE project performance on a daily basis or minimum on a weekly basis and maintain the HSE report.
  • Prepare Project HSE monthly and weekly reports.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external relationships for effective and efficient achievement of HSE goals.
  • Conduct educative and informative meetings, tool box talks on a daily, weekly, or need basis to promote and achieve the HSE target.
  • Ensure weekly supervisor tours are carried out 100%.
  • Provide leadership, ongoing guidance, and support to the HSE team.
