Senior Fire and Life Safety Consultant Role:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire and Life Safety Consultant to join our Riyadh-based team. This role involves working on a wide range of projects across the Middle East, supporting our clients in achieving their goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design practices and approvals in the Middle East for Building Code and Life Safety requirements. They should be able to engage and liaise with regulatory and approving authorities at various stages of design, construction, and handover of projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Verification of designs of mechanical, fire protection, and life safety systems.
  2. Preparation and presentation of technical reports, assessments, and design review cycles.
  3. Review of relevant submission packs for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Planning and conducting site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems.
  5. Directing engineering activities for projects administered by the Engineer.

Requirements:

  • An accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical, fire protection, or related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience in design and layout of mechanical or specialty engineering systems.
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present clear and technically sound engineering strategies, assessment review results with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, rise to professional challenges, and contribute to the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes in the Middle East.
  • Ability to lead projects to deliver desired goals (completion of the project) on time and within budget.
  • Expertise in manipulating Revit models and AutoCAD drawings is preferred. Mandatory use of REVU Bluebeam.
  • Ready to travel within the Middle East (KSA predominantly) as required to meet project needs.
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to developing less experienced engineers through mentorship and on-the-job learning.
