The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure the accuracy, consistency, security, availability, and quality of data across the digital use cases.

You will work closely with legal and information protection teams to align with data regulatory requirements, confidentiality, and privacy regulations. Your excellent communication and presentation skills will enable you to explain complex ideas to stakeholders, while your strategic leadership skills will drive organizational change and set long-term data governance visions.

**Responsibilities Include:**

  • Establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
  • Maintaining data catalogs, documenting data lineage, metadata, and data sources.
  • Implementing data profiling and data quality assessment processes.
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions to enhance data literacy across the organization.

**Requirements:**

  • +8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Data Governance: Proficiency in establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
  • Data Quality: Understanding of data quality assessment techniques and strategies.
  • Metadata Management: Knowledge of maintaining data catalogs, lineage, and metadata.
  • Master Data Management (MDM): Experience with managing master data across the organization.
  • Full understanding of Data Management solutions (e.g. Data Lake/warehouse, Data Platform, Data Ingestion, MDM, ETL, BI/Data Visualization).
  • Data Profiling: Ability to analyze data to identify patterns, anomalies, and quality issues.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Awareness of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements specific to the oil and gas sector.
  • Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex ideas to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, both within the organization and with external vendors.
  • Leadership: Strategic leadership skills to drive organizational change and set long-term data governance visions.

**Education:** A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field. Certified as a Data Management Professional (CDMP) is a plus.
