We are currently recruiting for a CNC Lathe operator to join our team in Qatar. This position is required to program and operate CNC Turn mill center and a variety of machines including conventional lathes, horizontal and vertical boring mills, and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • CNC Turning & Milling Operations with Programming, Work Setting & Proving on CNC Machines.
  • Tool Setting & Operating the CNC Machine in accordance with competence/knowledge and manufacturers' operating instructions to accomplish required jobs laid down in Work Orders.
  • Visual Inspection of Cutting Tools and Materials prior to commencing work, replacing tools from stores and reporting any defects to the Workshop Supervisor where appropriate.
  • Operating the machine safely and competently in accordance with operating instructions, ensuring good safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Coordinating with QC Inspectors after completion of work.
  • Effective handover at the beginning/end of each shift, assuring specific work or safety-related information is communicated.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work pieces, sequences of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Monitoring machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret component drawings, understand and accurately machine components within desired tolerances.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD and FANUC programming is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Advanced Machining knowledge.
