Cybersecurity Engineer Job Description

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be part of the Advanced Consulting and Engineering Solutions (ACES) team within Schneider Electric Process Automation business.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the technical execution and delivery of cybersecurity solutions to clients, including managing implementation, conducting site visits, and providing cybersecurity trainings and consulting as needed.
  • Ensure the necessary cybersecurity infrastructure is in place to support Schneider Electric applications.
  • Assist in gathering and defining requirements for cybersecurity projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cybersecurity projects for OT systems and networks, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Implement cybersecurity controls and safeguards to protect OT systems and networks.
  • Analyze the cybersecurity posture of OT systems and networks, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, and recommending remediation measures.
  • Participate in risk assessments and vulnerability assessments on the OT systems of our clients.
  • Provide expert guidance and consulting on OT cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
  • Assist with the design, configuration, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls for OT systems and networks.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure the integration of cybersecurity into OT projects and operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest OT cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Participate in Cybersecurity factory and site Acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
  • Create and present technical documentation as needed (FDS, DDS, FAT, MOS, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • 13 years of experience in performing the installation and/or management of network-based firewalls, preferably Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or another top-tier product.
  • 13 years of experience in performing L2/L3 network implementation and configuration, including STP, RING, VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP, etc.
  • 13 years of experience in performing network troubleshooting using sniffers and other tools/techniques.
  • 13 years of experience in performing the installation and/or management of network-based Intrusion Detection products.
  • 13 years of experience in implementing EndPoint security solutions (Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, Allowlisting).
  • 13 years of experience in implementing system backup solutions.
  • 13 years of experience in scripting skills and programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • 13 years of experience using discovery, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing tools (Nessus, Qualys, ZAP, Proxy, Burp Suite, Metasploit, etc.).
  • Experience in OT Industrial Control System is a plus.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Cybersecurity or computer-related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CCNA, CompTIA Security, or CEH, are mandatory; CCNP Enterprise and IEC62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist are a plus.
  • Travel: 50% or more.
