Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mandarin Oriental. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality cuts of meat, fish, and seafood in accordance with set standards.
  • Ensure that all cutting and preparation methods are food-safe, creative, and clean.
  • Assist superiors in the pickup of requisition and organizing it in the corresponding storage.
  • Store butchery items in dedicated containers and label them according to standard.
  • Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to superiors and support daily checks.
  • Follow food safety standards set by Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Qatar Municipality rules.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs) and service standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Support other outlets and banquet as requested by superiors.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings and training.

Requirements:

  • High School qualification or equivalent.
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Culinary art is preferred.
  • A minimum 1 year of culinary experience working as Cook II in a high volume hotel or free-standing restaurant is preferred.
