**Job Summary**

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Principal to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Monitoring and Diagnostic Support: Provide proactive monitoring and diagnostic support for our database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, to provide timely support for database-related issues.
  • Collaboration with Product Development Teams: Work closely with Product Development teams to provide feedback and insights to improve product quality and database system performance.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline database administration tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency across the team.
  • Escalation Support: Provide escalation support for complex database-related issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: Share knowledge and mentor junior team members to ensure knowledge transfer and growth within the team.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Attend weekly team meetings and participate in team-building activities to foster a collaborative and communicative team environment.
