About the Role

This position requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where you will join the Well Completion Operation & Production Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production optimization solutions for existing wells and future development areas.
  • Design and optimize artificial lift systems for unconventional reservoirs, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the implementation and day-to-day operation of plunger lift and rod lift systems, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to artificial lift systems, providing rapid response to emergencies.
  • Analyze production data and well performance trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align lift system strategies with reservoir and production goals.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on artificial lift best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering from a recognized program.
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience in production engineering and optimization, including a minimum of 5 years in artificial lift systems design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in unconventional behaviors, well performance analysis, and fluid dynamics.
  • Have substantial hands-on experience in unconventional fields with a focus on plunger lift and rod lift systems.
  • Showcase a proven track record of successful artificial lift system design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Bring experience in unconventional resources or HPHT/tight gas & oil wells with a good understanding of hydraulic fracturing and its impact on flowback/production practices.
  • Possess working knowledge in production assurance and optimization of natural flowing oil and gas wells.
  • Exhibit expertise in relevant software tools for lift system analysis and data interpretation.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Have knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices, and environmental standards.
