Senior Mental Health Specialist

Nature of Work:

This is a full-time position that requires working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients with emotional and mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and diagnose patients using specialist clinical psychological methods.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions.
  3. Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on psychological strategies for enhancing patient care.
  4. Participate in service evaluation and improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology

Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid Primary license from the country of origin as a clinical psychologist/counselling psychologist/psychotherapist
  • Eligible for license from the Licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Up-to-date CPD in relevant clinical/counselling psychology areas

Experience:

  • 5 years in clinical psychology field out of 2 years relevant experience in Addiction or Substance Abuse Disorders
  • Multidisciplinary experience across the fields of mental and physical health
  • Previous experience in the area of personality disorders treatment and/or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Advanced residential patient and ambulatory care patient clinical skills
