Job Summary

Virtusa is seeking a highly skilled Big Data Spark Developer to join our team. As a Big Data Spark Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using Apache Spark.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data storage systems using Hadoop and Hive
  • Write efficient SQL queries for relational databases such as Oracle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps processes and ensure smooth deployment of applications
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code is delivered

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Big Data technologies, including Java, Spark, Hadoop, and Hive
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience writing efficient queries
  • Experience with DevOps processes, including CICD, Jira, and Bitbucket
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
