Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Defence Programs Specialist to join our team at Strategic Aerospace Services WLL. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programmes tailored to the needs of military and civilian personnel.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Programme Design: Develop generic and specialized training programmes tailored to military and civilian personnel.
  2. Strategic Planning: Establish learning strategies and short- and long-term training plans focused on general defence knowledge training.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and teams to assess training needs and identify performance gaps.
  4. Content Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, defence personnel, and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
  5. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in defence programmes and training methodologies.
  6. Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of defence programmes and operations to determine training requirements.
  7. Training Materials: Design and develop training materials and programmes based on identified needs.
  8. Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive training curricula, incorporating relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Instructional Materials: Create instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and training manuals.
  10. Training Facilitation: Facilitate training sessions using various instructional techniques.
  11. Evaluation and Enhancement: Analyze training evaluation results and provide recommendations for programme enhancements.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Defence Studies, Education, or Instructional Design preferred.
  2. Experience: 8-10 years' experience in a related field.
  3. Skills and Qualifications: Extensive experience in defence programmes, operations, or related fields; strong knowledge of defence policies, procedures, and regulations; proven experience in instructional design and training delivery; excellent presentation and facilitation skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training software/tools; demonstrated experience in curriculum development of training programmes for military and civilian personnel; demonstrated knowledge in the application of education theories; ability to perform a learning needs analysis; demonstrated competence to implement, assess, and evaluate adult learning; demonstrated capacity to use and facilitate multifaceted modalities of learning including e-learning; demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; excellent presentation skills.
