About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Visual Designer to join our team at Google. As a Senior Visual Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design of our visual experiences, working closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative and user-centered designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of visual experiences for our products and services, ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand identity.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop design solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across our products and services.
  • Conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure that our designs meet the needs of our users.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our designs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • 2 years of experience leading design projects.
  • Problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile.
  • Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale within a user-centered design process.
