  1. Maintain adherence to sanitation and health regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  2. Prepare ingredients for cooking, portioning, chopping, and storing food to meet service requirements.
  3. Continue preparation work between meal services, anticipating business levels and adjusting accordingly.
  4. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
  5. Monitor food quality while preparing food, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients as required.
  6. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  7. Anticipate and communicate assistance needs during busy periods, maintaining a positive and supportive team environment.
  8. Direct and assist Stewards to maximize clean-up efficiency, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  9. Provide new ideas and run the department in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
  10. Use kitchen tools safely and appropriately, adhering to company safety protocols and guidelines.
  11. Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  12. Check and ensure the correctness of appliance temperatures and food storage, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of related work experience, with a strong background in fine dining cuisine.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and achieving results.
  • Able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
