Job Description

We invite applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Banking and Financial Technology. Exceptional candidates at the rank of full professor may also be considered.

Your Commitment

You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating courses within the Banking and Financial Technology domain. You will also evaluate student progress, manage resources, and liaise with industry and other educational institutions.

  • Design and develop authentic learning experiences and assessments that incorporate contemporary tools and resources.
  • Evaluate student progress and manage resources effectively.
  • Liaise with industry and other educational institutions to enhance the learning experience.
Education and Experience Requirements

Faculty members will be placed in the appropriate rank based on their education and experience. The broad criteria include:

Qualifications
  • PhD and Master's degrees in Banking and Financial Technology or a related discipline from an internationally recognized university.
Assistant Professor
  • A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a post-secondary environment, along with preferably 3 years of employment experience in banking or a related field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in utilizing the Trading Room to enhance student learning through hands-on experience in making financial decisions.
  • A distinguished research record and international reputation evidenced by high-quality publications in top-tier journals.
  • Excellent record of supervising high-caliber research students.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building engagement and partnerships with the profession and industry.
Associate Professor
  • A minimum of 8 years teaching experience in a post-secondary environment, along with preferably 3 years of employment experience in banking or a related field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in utilizing the Trading Room to enhance student learning through hands-on experience in making financial decisions.
  • A distinguished research record and international reputation evidenced by high-quality publications in top-tier journals.
  • Excellent record of supervising high-caliber research students.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building engagement and partnerships with the profession and industry.
Other Required Skills

  • Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in technology systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their own learning.
