Job Description

At lxbfYeaa, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Materials Inspector. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of materials used in our projects. Your main responsibility will be to oversee all testing and sampling activities on site, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and effectively.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be working closely with our team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all materials meet the required standards. Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining the high-quality reputation of our organization.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:
  1. Supervising all tests and sampling on site.
  2. Witnessing all laboratory tests and in situ tests by contractor or third-party tester on materials and preparing samples for testing.
  3. Coordinating with the Work Inspector in charge of the work to confirm approval of the work for testing and discussing areas of concern.
  4. Performing sampling and testing in a quick and efficient way to avoid undue delay to the Contractors operations.
  5. Performing regular checks of delivered materials to the site for conformance with the approved source or supplier.
  6. Getting involved in quality control and quality assurance.
  7. Assisting the Senior Work Inspector (Materials) and the Senior Materials Engineer in all activities related to review, approval, testing and acceptance of the used materials.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
  1. Technical diploma in a related field with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in similar nature or civil engineering graduate with a minimum of three (3) years experience on roads and bridges projects.
  2. Ashghal project, require good experience in roads, drainage, sewage.
  3. Must possess the ability to read working drawings, related specifications, inspection and test plans and method statements and be capable of enforcing such specifications and contract drawings.
  4. Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
  5. Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
