About the Role

As an Aircraft Mechanic at Qatar Airways Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our aircraft. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services to support our operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aircraft systems and components, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

  1. Conduct thorough inspections and tests of aircraft systems and components to identify any defects or malfunctions.
  2. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  3. Examine and inspect engines and other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks.
  4. Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
  5. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools.
  6. Service, clean screens, grease moving parts, and check brakes.
  7. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
  8. Test engine and system operations using testing equipment and listen to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions.
  9. Remove engine from aircraft and install engine using hoist or forklift truck.
  10. Modify aircraft structures, space vehicles, systems, or components following drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.
  11. Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  12. Implement technical solutions for various technical problems related to technical line maintenance.
