Job Purpose Summary:

The incumbent will monitor the general Ledger and will ensure that invoices are paid/ recorded in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with approvals, policies and procedures. This will involve making the Management Information System (MIS), Financial and regulatory reporting and other day-to-day assignments within the department as per his job nature.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor the general Ledger and ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
  2. Make MIS, Financial and regulatory reporting and other day-to-day assignments within the department.
  3. Ensure compliance with approvals, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology.
  2. At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
  3. Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CMA, CFA etc. is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of various accounts related processes and related pronouncements, including but not limited to IFRS, IAS, etc.
  3. Knowledge of accounting tools/ techniques and methodologies.
  4. Ability to deliver under pressure.
  5. Ability to build relationships across the organization to deliver results.
  6. Knowledge of accounting rules for the various products of the Group.
  7. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
  8. Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations, and practices.
  9. Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.
  10. Personal integrity and self-management.
  11. Planning, organising, and analytical ability.
  12. Results oriented.
  13. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of management.
