Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation and Care
    • Assist patients in preparing for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair.
    • Obtain patient dental records and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Instrument Handling and Sterilization
    • Hand instruments and materials to dentists and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, preparing trays for dental procedures.
  • Communication and Education
    • Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care, providing clear and concise information.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Expanded Functions
    • Apply fluoride treatments, place and remove periodontal dressings, polish teeth, and take radiographs and impressions.
  • Team Collaboration and Adaptability
    • Work collaboratively with dental professionals to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
    • Adapt to changing work environments, delays, or unexpected events, maintaining a high level of professionalism and composure.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
    • At least 1 year of post-graduate experience as a dental assistant.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
    • Fluent English speaker, with knowledge of Arabic an advantage but not essential.
