Job Title: Engineering Manager – PO

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire development process, from software testing to delivery, ensuring the quality and efficiency of software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in exploring issues related to software development, including financial, technical, operational, and time management aspects.
  2. Evaluate new software component products, including unit and functional tests automation.
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression performance, and integration testing.
  4. Collaborate with software development teams to define test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for software features and projects.
  5. Propose, review, and validate software prototypes and propose improvements.
  6. Perform qualification and functional tests on engineering designs to ensure software meets required specifications.
  7. Demonstrate design compliance according to customer specifications.
  8. Oversee the creation of product family trees and technical documents.
  9. Write technical proposals and requirements, and statements of work in line with developed solutions.
  10. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
  11. Create custom scripts, tools, and utilities to automate repetitive tasks, enhance test coverage, and improve development and testing processes.
  12. Support team-building and alignment with processes.
  13. Document automation processes, test cases, and best practices for reference and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

  1. A Baccalaureate in Software Engineering or a related field.
  2. A Graduate Degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
  3. Professional license in the relevant field of Engineering.
  4. Professional certification related to software testing.
  5. Years of experience in software testing.
  6. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  7. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  8. Familiarity with software development tools and CI/CD tools.
  9. Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies.
  10. Fluency in spoken and written English language.
  11. Coaching and mentoring skills.
