  • Product Expertise: Provide technical expertise for products to support customers in diagnostics and solving of difficult technical issues, collaborating with Emerson's Global Service Center and Product Engineering to resolve product issues.
  • Service/Product Opportunities: Proactively identify service/product opportunities and serve as a sales ambassador on-site, communicating sales leads to the sales team.
  • Project Management: Perform and lead projects, taking ownership of lead client support activities such as site survey, feed study, site installation, start-up, and commissioning services, and customer training.
  • Design Documentation: Develop various design documentation, including system architecture, functional design specifications, software design specifications, and method statements, in accordance with project requirements.
  • Business Processes: Align with all Emerson requirements for business processes, including timesheets, site visit reports, method statements, job safety analysis, incident reporting, and all other documentation in line with Emerson's internal procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering education, including control engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation, or electronics, electrical, etc., from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: Validated experience in crafting and implementing control systems installation with Emerson's DeltaV system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DeltaV DCS/SIS Installation: Proven track record in DeltaV DCS/SIS installation and DeltaV cybersecurity implementation, both onshore and offshore, in the oil and gas industry.
  • Automation and Control Systems: In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, with validated years of hands-on experience in Emerson-related products.
  • Cybersecurity Implementation: Experience in cybersecurity implementation in industrial control systems, including McAfee AV, whitelisting, SIEM/NSM.
  • IT/OT Knowledge: Knowledgeable in information and operational technology, with certified networking skills, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless technology.
  • Certifications: Holder of associate-level certification for all services performed at the site and a professional-level certificate or equivalent experience in at least one field of expertise in Emerson's Global Leadership Center.
  • Project Management: Worked on project management, scheduling, engineering, procurement, team coordination, and sales support.
  • Offshore Experience: Holds T-BOSIET or HUET certificate and/or must be able to pass the offshore training and offshore medical requirements.
  • Professional Registration: Enrolled on the register of engineers in the state of Qatar or chartered engineer.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate an effective level of written and spoken communication skills in the English language.
