In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a large team of engineers and digital delivery specialists working on major infrastructure projects in Qatar and the Gulf Region.

Your Key Tasks:

  • Reviews work produced by team members to ensure quality and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Mentors and monitors the productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel.
  • Determines staffing needs and makes assignments/reassignments as project requirements change.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, provides corrective action when necessary, and recommends promotions and salary adjustments.
  • Collaborates with project staff and engineers from other disciplines to define discipline design organization, scope of work, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluates budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scopes and schedules.
  • Supervises the production of project drawings and design calculations.
  • Promotes technical excellence through continuous improvement processes.
  • Fosters open communication among project staff and ensures coordination with other disciplines.
  • Advises engineering and project management on potential problem areas, delays, or changes that may impact project completion and profitability.
  • Initiates and reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work.
  • Ensures adequate checking is performed according to discipline checking policies and procedures.
  • Develops and recommends discipline standards, equipment use, etc.
  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to stay updated on current technologies.
  • Prepares technical papers and contributes to industry publications.
  • Performs other duties as required by this position.
