  • Develop studies to recommend procedures and practices to enhance operational efficiency of Road Management Center operations.
  • Verify that all RMC-related personnel, processes, and systems are suitable and adequate.
  • Collaborate with the RMC Procedures and Processes Manager to ensure best practice, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of RMC services.
  • Support performance measurement initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement in RMC operations.
  • Guide RMC Supervisors in managing escalated events or incidents and provide management direction when necessary.
  • Provide on-call support outside of regular working hours to address major and critical incidents.
  • Elevate significant issues and risks to the RMC Manager for timely resolution.
  • Foster partnerships with various stakeholders to ensure safe and effective road network operations.
  • Support incident management outside of regular hours, including mobilizing and leading Silver Command incidents.
  • Oversight of RMC Supervisors to ensure they are adequately trained and prepared to deputize for the RMC Manager.
  • Lead the deployment of severe weather response plans, keeping management informed on conditions, issues, and actions taken.
  • Coordinate preparation and readiness testing of response plans and mitigation plans for major events.
  • Cultivate relationships with operational partners and stakeholders to promote information sharing and collaborative delivery of up-to-date information about current and future operational conditions.
  • Participate in policy discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to drive business excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance meetings to engage staff and contractors with changes and share relevant business performance information and expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment Policy and Procedures within the workplace.
  • Offer mentorship to RMC Supervisors on RMC operations best practices and team leadership skills.
  • Perform other duties as required.
