  • Be at the forefront of curriculum development, fostering engaging and relevant learning experiences that prepare students for a bright future.
  • Utilize data analysis to continuously improve academic performance and student outcomes, making data-driven decisions to drive school improvement.
  • Mentor and coach senior staff, empowering them to become future leaders and champions of excellence.
  • Foster a positive and vibrant school community that celebrates diversity and supports the individual needs of all learners.
  • Work hand-in-hand with teachers, parents, and the wider community to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Be a passionate advocate for our school's ethos and educational philosophy, actively shaping the DBS vision for secondary education.
  • Promote the Character Development Traits and set up, develop, and monitor a School Improvement Partnership involving learners, parents, and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (preferably with a Master's in Educational Leadership or similar) in a relevant field.
  • Successful track record in a senior leadership role (ideally with previous Headship experience) within a large secondary school setting.
  • Proven track record of raising academic standards and leading sustained successful school improvement.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, parents, and the wider community.
