Job Description

Brunel is seeking an experienced Information Systems Director to lead our engineering data management efforts. As the Head of Information Management Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of IM Data and System practices for our projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and oversee data and system functioning according to project specifications, developing effective data management approaches to meet quality standards and delivery time frames.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) and provide technical data leadership to meet project desired objectives related to engineering data and systems technology.
  • Identify potential risks and perform periodic data assessment and reporting to ensure the data integrity and consistency of work done by the EPC Contractor is fulfilled.
  • Have overall responsibility for IM reporting, including the development of IM-specific reporting methodology and tools.
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and control of data storage and transfer architecture including technical aspects of corporate portal, SharePoint, Office 365, and any similar applications.
  • Primary point of contact with the LNG IT Department including Information Security and development of project-specific applications and tools.
  • The operating environment is dynamic and challenging, requiring a high degree of personal commitment and organization.
  • Flexible time management is important when working in a small engineering team environment across different world time zones.
  • Collaboration with multiple stakeholders to drive system implementation and results.

Your Profile:

  • BA or BSc, professional qualification; however, any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in engineering or Computer Science.
  • 15 years' experience associated with Information Systems and reporting, preferably within the Oil & Gas Construction Industry.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design Systems preferably SPF, Bentley, and Aveva.
  • Experience in responsible roles on major oil & gas engineering & construction projects.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems preferably Documentum and Engineering Data Warehouse preferably AVEVA.
  • Experience with conducting audits & assessing process-driven quality systems.
  • Experience in completing and delivering high standard data projects and managing, implementing data systems.
  • A thorough knowledge of Documentation processes, codes, and standards relating to final document handovers working within a structured Quality Management System.
  • Strong IT and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Good supervisory skills.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong skills using MS Office.
  • Strong skills in using Power BI, MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
