Job Summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Qatar. As a key member of our Quality Control department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pipes and couplers manufactured meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure that products are manufactured according to specifications.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare daily and project-specific reports to document quality control activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, projects, and delivery departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of quality control activities.
  • Stock Counting and Inventory Management: Participate in half-yearly and yearly stock counts to ensure physical inventory matches ERP system inventory, and carry out monthly stock counting for major raw materials.
  • Mould and Socket Sleeve Inspection: Conduct inspections of steel moulds and socket sleeves to ensure they are manufactured according to approved drawings.
  • HSE Compliance: Comply with relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions, and report any safety violations or incidents.
Requirements
  • Education: Technical School Certificate or On-Job Training
  • Experience: At least 2 years of pipe manufacturing experience; Engineering Degree or Diploma (Civil or Mechanical) preferred
  • Skills: QC inspection and testing, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, report preparation, and ability to use measuring and testing equipment

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and take initiative to ensure quality control activities are completed efficiently
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality control activities are completed to the highest standards
