In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as a Sr. Principal Geophysicist at QatarEnergy, contributing to the success of our offshore oil field development projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and controlling geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Geophysical Data Acquisition: Oversee the collection of geophysical data for reservoir studies.
  2. Project Planning: Participate in project planning and coordination activities.
  3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective geophysical strategies.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure high-quality data acquisition, processing, and interpretation through rigorous quality control processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Geophysics or related field desired.
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, with at least 4 years' experience in project planning and coordination roles.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation techniques, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
