The successful candidate will be responsible for executing project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost, and project schedule targets.

About the Role
  • The Oil and Gas Scheduling Specialist will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and reporting accurate project schedules and plans in support of the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support senior members of the planning team through the preparation and submission of project schedules and plans, ensuring schedules and plans are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain planning control structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  2. Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
  3. Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  4. Liaise with engineering, procurement, and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements.
  5. Provide project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements.
  6. Provide project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.
  7. Update project plans and schedules.
  8. Update project manpower requirements.
  9. Analyze and communicate schedule impact of change notifications.
  10. Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyze project performance in relation to planned performance.
  11. Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedules.
  12. Participate in schedule risk analysis as required.
  13. Participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews.
