About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Control Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in the area of instrumentation, control systems, and telecommunication engineering expertise throughout all stages of the project.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Verifying and reviewing technical design documents in accordance with approved standards to meet operations, maintenance, asset integrity, HSE, ICT, and cyber security requirements.
  • Ensuring scope preparation completeness review and hands-on experience in DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas, SCADA systems, SIL ratings, SIF, field instrumentation, cabling, junction boxes, local control panels, field HMIs, transmitters, detectors, vibration probes, thermowells, fibre optic cables, communication converters, metering systems, field panels, control valves, loop checks, marshalling panels, system cabinets, PLC cabinets, CPU 10s, Modbus, operator consoles, PAGA systems, RTU, RF, microwave radios, switches, servers, NTP servers, GSM modems, etc.
  • Leading the coordination between operations, maintenance, asset integrity, HSE, ICT, and cyber security teams to ensure project requirements are met and aligned.
  • Resolving technical issues, punch lists, and ensuring that all applicable environmental, process, and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented.
  • Ensuring SIMOPS and various project interfaces so that shutdown activities are properly planned for effective execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrument & Control Engineering with Chartered Engineer status or equivalent being preferable.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience, of which 10 years should be in the oil and gas industry with an international reputable operating company.
  • Excellent technical skills, including sound fundamentals in their discipline area, good communication and presentation skills, and fluency in English language.
