Position Overview: We are seeking skilled Environmental Engineers, Scientists, and Planners to contribute to the development of environmental strategies and policies that promote sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. In this role, you will work with Transportation Engineers and Planners to develop strategies and policies for transportation systems that support sustainable urban growth, quality of life, health of people, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Develop and implement long-term strategic environmental management plans and policies that align with our organization's vision.
  3. Utilize strong knowledge of environmental engineering, including water and air quality management and habitat restoration, to drive sustainable solutions.
  4. Perform field investigations, collect data, and analyze environmental samples to inform decision-making.
  5. Apply GIS and other analytical tools to model environmental processes and impacts, ensuring data-driven insights.
  6. Stay updated on the latest environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices to maintain expertise.
  7. Conduct in-depth analysis of current conditions and identify areas for improvement, driving continuous improvement.
  8. Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to gather input and ensure project alignment.
  9. Utilize modeling software and tools to predict future effects of transportation systems on health and environment, informing strategic decisions.
  10. Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers, effectively communicating complex information.

Skills Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, science, or planning, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  3. Proven experience in working with engineering consultants or government agencies, with a deep understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  4. Strong knowledge of GIS software and other environmental modeling tools, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  5. Middle East or GCC experience, preferred, with a strong understanding of local regulations and cultural nuances.
  6. Arabic speaker, preferred, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Commitment to sustainability and innovative transport solutions, with a passion for driving positive change.
