About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Technical Office team at Blueprint. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our mechanical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tender Management: Study and understand tender requirements, checking completeness of tender documents, and preparing clarifications issues to be sent to clients.
  • Design and Documentation: Prepare design documents, systems and equipment sizing, and create Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for design and build tenders.
  • Review and Validation: Review and validate design documents, systems and equipment sizing, and BOQs for pre-designed tenders, and conduct quantity surveying for lump-sum items.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Receive and evaluate suppliers', manufacturers', and subcontractors' technical and financial offers, checking compliance with tender requirements.
  • Negotiation and Coordination: Negotiate technical and financial issues of offers received from suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors, and coordinate with sales, procurement, operations, and other concerned departments.
  • Project Handover: Participate in Kick Off Meetings of projects, hand over contract documents to project managers and execution teams, and study and understand contract documents.
  • Technical Submittals: Prepare technical submittals and negotiate with clients.
  • Design and Documentation: Prepare conceptual and detail design documents, lists, calculation notes, drawings, and detailed material take-offs required for projects, and negotiate with concerned parties.
  • Shop Drawings and As-Built Drawings: Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Language: Excellent command of English.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in MEP (HVAC, Firefighting & Plumbing) projects, and very good computer skills, including specialized software, AutoCAD, and water design software.
