Lead Cargo Claims Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cargo Claims Officer to join our Global Sales Team in Doha. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all formal cargo claims and complaints, investigating and processing claims within set timeframes, and identifying service failures to ensure necessary escalation.
Key Responsibilities- Cargo Claims Management: Oversee all formal cargo claims and complaints, thoroughly investigating and processing claims within set timeframes as per department KPIs.
- Database Management: Responsible for managing database and maintaining reports/dashboards on cargo claims and consignment-related non-conformances for analytical and business support purposes.
- Service Failure Identification: Identify service failures through investigations of claims/non-conformances and ensure it is highlighted to the respective Regional Cargo Management and Cargo Quality & Compliance team for necessary escalation.
- Trend Analysis and Prevention: Analyze trends in claims and shipment-related non-conformances and implement appropriate measures to prevent future occurrences through collaboration with Cargo NHPs and QR's internal departments involved.
- Claim Processing and Escalation: Review and endorse approval/rejection of claim to the line manager and follow-up with Finance office on outstanding payments to customers and recovery of claims settlements from third parties responsible for the claim.
- Process Development and Enhancement: Lead internal processes developments and system enhancement projects to elevate customer satisfaction.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of experience in airline/cargo operations and cargo claims handling. You should have good knowledge of air cargo convention and IATA rules and regulations applied on air carriage, proficiency in CROAMIS and MS Office, strong project management skills, ability to foster a culture of data-driven decision making, and strong command of the English language.
