This position is part of the Loss Prevention organization within MatchaTalent, which is the corporate safety organization within our company. We provide both day-to-day infield occupational and process safety support to our operations as well as centralized technical support and consulting function.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Human Factors Solutions: Create tools for incorporating human factors into qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, such as human failure analysis, safety critical task analysis, and Human Reliability Analysis.
- Assess and Improve Human Performance: Create tools to assess human performance in field activities, participate in incident investigations to review and analyze human performance issues, and provide advice and validation on integrating Human Factors engineering into capital projects.
- Advise on Safety Culture and Leadership: Develop systems and utilize expert methods to integrate risk-informed competencies, streamline critical communications for frontline workers, and advise facilities on fatigue risk management and shift work schedule design.
- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Develop tools to verify safe manning levels, optimal workload, and allocation of functions, support efforts to manage organizational changes by developing tools and strategies, and develop programs and strategies to promote and sustain a positive safety culture.
- Provide Expertise and Training: Implement proven methods to assess safety culture and implement targeted interventions, assess and enhance safety leadership competencies across all levels of the organization, and integrate Human Factors thinking into daily operational and maintenance activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial psychology, human factors, or ergonomics required.
- Master's and/or PhD in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or Industrial Psychology preferred.
- Five years of Human Factors experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including work with International Oil and Gas Companies, Consultancy firms, or EPC companies.
- Preferred certification in human factors, such as Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), Chartered Ergonomics and Human Factors Specialist (C.ErgHF), or European Ergonomist (Eur.Erg).
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
