Job Summary

The Spares Coordinator Typhoon is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the Demand Management team to ensure all inventory/asset demands meet contractual requirements within set timescales and budgets. This includes ensuring allocated resources have the necessary skills, motivation, and effectiveness, while adhering to SHE Quality and other internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the optimum Demand Management solution, collaborating with key stakeholders, including Customer Maintenance Tasking & Verification teams, Part 145 organisations, Order Book Managers, Procurement Suppliers, and other relevant parties, to deliver Continuing Airworthiness and contract requirements.
  • Lead and manage the development and delivery of Demand Management capabilities, ensuring alignment with current and future business strategies, and providing supervision and coordination for the team.
  • Interface with platform maintenance & upgrade operations to ensure timely demands are placed on and responded to by the supply chain, including the presentation of material supplied to maintenance in appropriate formats and timescales.
  • Liaise with Inventory forecasting and Planning department to ensure accurate future orderbook requirements and place orders to meet contract demands.
  • Develop and deploy a robust and cost-effective demand validation process, ensuring the correct specification of items are sourced through the correct channels.
  • Manage the development and deployment of an effective priority management process to meet customer/contract critical demand, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Lead and manage the development and delivery of an effective reporting/metrication capability to articulate and manage Demand Management performance.
Requirements
  • Recent extensive experience within a Supply Chain Demand Management role in support of Maintenance/after sales market environments.
  • Proven experience as a Leader in a supply chain role.
  • Good working and in-depth knowledge of operational supply chain tools and techniques, protocols, and procedures.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships within the Operational organisation.
  • Excellent understanding of how demand/orders are created within an area and the processes and principles through which the order will be satisfied.
  • Able to apply knowledge and skills to situations of high complexity, interpret data trends and variances, and understand the impact of these on future asset supply.
