About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Baggage Handling Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a Baggage Handling Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the allocation and planning of baggage handling resources to ensure safe and efficient baggage handling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Baggage Handling Resource Allocation: Generate and update baggage handling resource allocation plans as needed to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Operational Monitoring: Monitor the actual operation and perform necessary changes to the planned allocation based on operational requirements in real-time.
  • Problem Resolution: Coordinate with BH Supervisors to resolve problems related to baggage handling resource allocation, identify and escalate risks and/or operational deficiencies, and implement effective solutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide data and rules into BHS Simulation Models, conduct evaluation and analysis of Simulation reports, and generate, compile, and consolidate baggage handling operations and maintenance shift statistical data reports for troubleshooting and planning purposes.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise between HIA appointed subcontractors, the handling company, and carriers to optimize baggage handling resource allocation and ensure seamless operations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures for baggage handling and related facilities, monitor contracting staff to ensure safe operation of all baggage handling equipment and systems, and ensure production of incident reports, shift reports, and safety reports for HIA management team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics or relevant technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of job-related experience in a similar role in a similar-sized airport with inline hold baggage screening system.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex data sets, proficiency in using Power BI for data visualization and reporting, basic knowledge of IATA requirements related to baggage handling operations, and Microsoft SQL Certification.
