Job Description


• As a key member of the Asterix Communications team, the Static Equipment Lead will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the North Field Expansion Offshore Project, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.


• The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the requirements of ECPI and will be able to communicate and translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor.


• This role will involve collaborating with various disciplines, including Process, Structural, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation, HSSE and Risk, to monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the workscope.


• The Static Equipment Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the Contractor's Static Equipment for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) Engineering, comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards. They will provide guidance to the contractor to promote compliance.


• The successful candidate will plan and schedule the Static Equipment engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.


• They will participate in key design workshops, including HAZOP and 3D model reviews.


• The Static Equipment Lead will support the Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor's progress on delivery of the required Static Equipment documents for Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.


• They will coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect to the disciplines involved in delivery of the Static equipment related to Topsides and ensure endorsement of Process Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.


• The successful candidate will ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractors design or deviations from the company directives.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent; however, any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  2. 10+ years' of relevant experience as Static Equipment lead, in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
  3. Previous knowledge of Brownfield engineering and execution required.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a project management team.
  5. A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  6. Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  7. Good knowledge of electrical, instrument, telecom, piping, and mechanical equipment.

Salary: Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance
