About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM/CAD Specialist to join our team at lxbfYeaa, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the built and natural environments. As a Senior BIM/CAD Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of Client BIM and CAD strategies, standards, and tools within our organization and its partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BIM and CAD strategies, standards, and tools to support Client Rail Long Distance Projects.
  • Prepare requirements and plans for integrated BIM/COBIE delivery of projects, incorporating them into tender documents and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Monitor BIM models and asset/COBIE data for quality, data integrity, and content throughout the project delivery process and at specific project delivery milestones.
  • Ensure BIM models meet expectations stated in the project BIM Execution Plan and are consistent with Client BIM guidelines.
  • Ensure COBIE data is compliant to Client Asset Management Codification Standards and the Maintenance Management System requirements.
  • Perform quality reviews of submitted models and COBIE data as they relate to the contract documents.
  • Set up and maintain the Common Data Environment with all projects BIM data to enable rapid coordination.
  • Create integrated/federated models for visual coordination.
  • Produce high-quality visualizations/renders for meetings and presentations.
  • Provide support to Senior BIM Specialist as required.
  • Support, assist, and train project staff members in BIM.
  • Manage BIM Models, documents, and data submittals and capable to extract CAD drawings, and any required information (e.g., spreadsheets with quantities of various design/as-built elements).
  • Support the preparation of conceptual designs using 3D or CAD drafting tools.
  • Manage BIM deliverables, prepare clash-reports, and capable to review the coordination & interfaces between the Civil, Architectural, MEP, and Systems works.
  • Support on-site in order to validate or collect information to update As-Built CAD drawings/BIM models when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a BIM Specialist/Coordinator.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of COBIE and Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, partnered with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, Information Management, or related discipline.
  • Working experience in international teams.
  • Previous railway experience desirable.
  • Preferable experience with Doha Metro CAD/BIM, or any other large-scale infrastructure projects such as Railway transportation systems/Metro/Airport.
  • Preferable knowledge in document management application as Aconex or similar.
  • Completed BIM software training (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk Vault preferred).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard BIM technology including design, review, and collaboration tools.
  • Extensive experience of extracting COBIE data from BIM.
  • Competency using Autodesk Suite of products, with particular focus on Revit, Navisworks, and A360.
  • Competency in setting up a Common Data Environment (CDE) for coordination of program projects and contractors.
  • Knowledge of Bentley CAD/BIM products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of 4D, 5D, and 6D BIM processes is desirable.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as BS1192, IFC, and COBIE.
  • Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
