Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Rotating Machinery Engineer to join our team as the Head of Rotating Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with company Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least 15 years of experience in Rotating Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project.
  • He/She will have broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
  • A strong understanding of rotating equipment and systems, including Frame 6 and Frame 9 gas turbines, is essential.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and provide technical information/clarifications requested by bidders during the ITT phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads rotating engineering design and planning activities and ensures FEED contractor develops FEED deliverables in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations.
  • Resolves rotating engineering discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses Project's expectations and objectives.
  • Reviews technical aspects of rotating equipment purchase orders with FEED Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s).
  • Assesses discipline plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of project activities.
  • Develops, updates and amends design/project philosophies, specifications and procedures.
  • Monitors and provides guidance to FEED Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met.
  • Captures lessons learned and contributes to Safety analysis studies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 15 years of experience in Rotating Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
  • Strong understanding of rotating equipment and systems, including Frame 6 and Frame 9 gas turbines.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Strong technical and discipline management skills.
  • Good organizational, planning and coordination skills.
