About the Role

This position is a key member of the M&A Advisory Department, providing financial input to transactions throughout the process. The successful candidate will support the development and execution of large and complex international transactions, acting as a single point of contact for all finance-related inputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to executive management on transaction aspects.
  • Play a key role in multifunctional transaction teams, offering comprehensive financial support.
  • Evaluate commercial options and assess transaction counterparties and joint venture partners.
  • Ensure valuation accuracy, preparing financial models and documenting assumptions.
  • Present bid price recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage financial due diligence, coordinating advisor activities and communicating findings.
  • Offer guidance on transaction accounting aspects.
  • Contribute to definitive transaction agreements and oversee purchase price adjustments.
  • Participate in integration planning, advising on finance integration aspects.
  • Coordinate inputs from other finance experts in transactions.
  • Guide and mentor team members in transaction processes.
  • Contribute to process and methodology enhancements to establish M&A execution excellence.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis tasks, including transfer pricing and group policy reviews.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in conducting financial analysis for M&A transactions.
  • Significant involvement in large and intricate cross-border transactions, particularly in the energy and natural resources sectors.
  • Expert proficiency in financial analysis tools and methodologies, with a thorough understanding of financial statements and international taxation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering; an advanced business degree or Accounting qualification is preferred.
  • Excellent numerical skills, with methodical organization and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to function effectively as a team player.
