The Department of Information Technology at the Community College of Qatar invites applications for a faculty position in computer networks. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team and contribute to the development of our computer networks program.
About the Position
This is a full-time faculty position that requires a strong background in computer networks and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching one or more areas of computer networks, such as network architecture, routing protocols, network security, or mobile & wireless communication.
Responsibilities
- Teach computer networks courses, including local area network design, network infrastructure and security, computer network technologies and services, routing and switching protocols and architectures, or mobile and wireless communication systems.
- Contribute to the development of the department's expanding provision in computer networking.
- Demonstrate potential and interest to contribute to the department's commitment to excellence in teaching, committee services, and student mentoring and advising while fostering an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on computer networks.
- Expertise in teaching one or more areas of computer networks, such as network architecture, routing protocols, network security, or mobile & wireless communication.
- Minimum three years of experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate level, with a commitment to excellence in education. GCC experience is advantageous.
